We despatch orders promptly and efficiently to any part of the world and can proudly boast thousands of satisfied customers throughout the UK as well as Europe, America, Australia, Japan and other far flung places.

Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the order basket. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept UK bank cheque (made payable to Shentonbooks, and backed by a bankers card) or payment by credit or debit cards, Access, Visa, Switch, Delta, Mastercard, American Express. Please remember to provide card number, start date, expiry date and issue number.
Due to excessive bank charges associated with processing of cheques drawn against overseas banks we cannot unfortunately accept payment by cheque from Banks outside the UK. In such circumstances the electronic card payments set out above are welcomed, or payment in Euros notes sent by secure post.
We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. All charges are taken in £ sterling. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may if you prefer send your credit card information with your Internet order or via phone, fax, snail mail.
When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in case a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Shipping And Handling
Postage and packing is not included in prices shown in the Catalogues but will be added at the following rates:
* Mainland UK: Under 1.5 kilos................................................charged at cost
* Mainland UK: Over 1.5 kilos and under 30 kilos....................flat rate of £7.00, by 48 hour delivery
* Overseas: Our standard delivery service is by a special Priority Air Mail Bag service at cost; Costs vary by destination and can be quoted first if you are concerned. Example costs for a 3 kg order are: Most of Europe (£9.25); USA (£10.25); Australia (£13)
We seek to despatch your order immediately and always take care to ensure parcels are packed securely and safely to avoid damage to items whilst in transit.
Delivery within the UK is usually within 48 business hours .
International destinations vary, and depends upon the method of shipping requested. Please ask at time of Order if you require items by a particular date.
Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Tax Charges
Sale of Books is not currently liable to VAT in the UK. All other orders are thus VAT free.
Credit Card Security
Our web service is "Padlock" accredited, and credit card details are only available to and seen by the owners of Shentonbooks in a secure environment. If you have any concerns please contact us to discuss alternative means of transmitting payment details.
Guarantee
We will try hard to guarantee your satisfaction. If you have any concerns please contact us in order that we make seek to rectify any problem. In the unlikely event of any unresolved dispute, there is always a first time, then it is a condition of our supply and sale that the dispute shall be settled in the English Courts according to English law.

Visitors are always welcome to browse but as we are not a conventional shop and we do not always keep normal shop hours, please do telephone first to avoid a wasted journey.
